|Location||110 Henderson - The Bennett Pierce Living Center|
This workshop will provide an introduction and overview of the Penn State Census Bureau Research Data Center. The center is one of 20 research centers around the country that provide researchers with access to restricted data that is collected by the U.S. Census Bureau and National Center for Health Statistics. These data include demographic data from the population censuses and surveys, establishment data from the economic censuses and surveys, and health data from the NCHS surveys. Faculty and graduate students with research projects that have been approved by the Census Bureau are able to access the data from a secure facility in Paterno library.
The workshop will provide an overview of the RDC network, the type of economic, demographic, and health data that are available, and information on how to prepare a research proposal. The center is available for faculty and graduate student research. More information is available at the web site: http://www.psurdc.psu.edu
