Structural Racism and Rigorous Models of Social Inequity
To better understand and address structural racism, it is important to consider historical and contemporary policies as well as other structural factors that affect people’s health and well-being across the life course, along with strategies for measuring those factors.
A new interactive resource from the Committee on Population offers key takeaways from the May 2022 workshop for developing an agenda for future research on structural racism and strengthening the evidence base for policies that would help alleviate health inequities.

SSRI RV
The SSRI RV is a resource available for researchers to facilitate future projects aimed at external funding. Currently, the RV is currently being used by Janet van Hell, professor of psychology and linguistics, in school locations to conduct neurocognitive research. In the past, the RV has also been used for outreach activities such as science fairs or research demonstrations.
Researchers who would like to reserve the RV can contact van Hell at janetvanhell@mac.com. Members of her lab can provide instructions on the operation of the RV, becoming a licensed driver, how to keep track of mileage, etc.
