CTSI is conducting a survey to improve Studyfinder, their online recruitment platform.
This summary explains information about this research. You are urged to ask questions about anything that is unclear to you.
- The purpose of this research is to learn about who is currently using the Penn State Studyfinder web-based platform to identify studies recruiting for research participants, describe the researchers and participants who currently use the platform and how they access it, gather suggestions on areas of improvement for the platform, and disseminate generalizable knowledge from the survey to the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) consortium.
- If you agree to take part, you will be asked a series of questions about yourself and your usage and perceptions of Studyfinder. You are always free to answer "I don't know" or "decline" to any questions that you do not wish to answer.
- If you agree to take part, it will take you about 15 minutes to complete this research study.
- There are very minimal risks in participating in this survey.
- The results of this research may guide the future usage and quality improvements of the Studyfinder website.
- Data will be stored electronically only, on a secure, password-protected server at Penn State. Email addresses will be shared with Tango Card, an instant e-gift card rewards and incentives company for sending your gift card at the end of the survey.
- You will receive a $10 electronic gift card sent to your email for redemption on https://www.tangocard.com/card/use for a vendor/store of your choice for compensation for your time and effort in participating. Tango Card company will be given access to your identifying information (only email address) in order to send you a rewards link.
- There is a small risk of loss of confidentiality if your information or your identity is obtained by someone other than the investigators, but precautions will be taken to prevent this from happening. The confidentiality of your electronic data created by you or by the researchers will be maintained to the degree permitted by the technology used. Absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
