Faculty Affiliate Program

Welcome to the SSRI Faculty Affiliate Program, where social and behavioral science researchers at Penn State connect to share opportunities and form collaborations.

Eligibility Requirements

SSRI has many different relationships with Penn State faculty. Our co-funded faculty and faculty working in resource units and centers are automatically affiliated with SSRI. However, other tenure and non-tenure line research faculty and post docs conducting, directing, or overseeing social or behavioral science research may not have an explicit connection with us. If this sounds like you and you’re located at Penn State University Park, College of Medicine, or a Commonwealth Campus, we encourage you to fill out the brief application below.

Benefits of becoming an Affiliate

As an Affiliate, you will have access to SSRI consultation and support services for study design, geospatial analysis, brain imaging, survey data collections, and other specialties offered by our resource units and centers. Additional opportunities include networking events to connect with other Affiliates, notification of funding opportunities, inquiries from SSRI administrators as to research needs on campus, and invitations to share accomplishments with SSRI leadership. In addition, you will be included in the SSRI Faculty Affiliate Directory, receive the SSRI newsletter, and occasionally receive other communications from us.

Remaining active as an Affiliate

Because the Affiliate Program helps SSRI leadership facilitate connections with social and behavioral science researchers, keeping our records up to date is important. Every three years for faculty and every 2 years for post docs, SSRI staff will reach out to Affiliates for renewal and to update information on file.

Apply now!

If you would like to become an SSRI Faculty Affiliate, please apply here. The brief online application form will ask for basic professional information such as title, college, and keywords for your research interests. You will also have the opportunity to provide us with a professional photo.

Penn State College of Medicine faculty will need to be logged in with their Penn State ID (abc123@psu.edu) to access the form. Please refer to this article on "Logging into Penn State Systems for Users with Multiple Accounts".
