Description |
We are pleased to announce that the Center for Healthy Aging, jointly with the Geroscience and Dementia Prevention Consortium, will be hosting a set of talks and events on February 29 designed to highlight research related to aging at Penn State. Attendance is highly encouraged for scholars who are already doing work related to healthy aging and dementia prevention, and particularly for faculty who are planning new projects, interested in being part of new collaborative initiatives, and who may be interested in a pending RFA from the Geroscience and Dementia Prevention Consortium to support interdisciplinary aging research at Penn State. As part of this event, we will be joined by the CEO of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), Dr. James Appleby, and there will be presentations by key units across Penn State to provide a high-level overview of their related work, initiatives, and opportunities for collaboration. Our hope is that the presentation and discussion at this event will spur and enable new innovations in aging research. We anticipate that the main portion of the event will be held in the Living Center (110 Henderson) from 9:30-1:00, Feb 29, with lunch included for registered attendees.
