SSRI’s Child Maltreatment Solutions Network (CMSN), is offering two new funding opportunities to aid in innovative research addressing and dealing with child maltreatment, adversity, resilience, and prevention. These opportunities are designed to support both faculty and emerging researchers who are pursuing interdisciplinary work that can improve outcomes for children and families.
- Faculty Funding: The Child Maltreatments Solutions Network Endowment provides $5,000 or more to full-time Penn State faculty engaging in research aligned with CMSN’s mission, across University Park and Commonwealth Campuses.
- Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Funding: The Child Maltreatment Solutions Network Endowment Fund provides $5,000 per award for eligible full-time University Park graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Priority will be given to thesis and dissertation research.
The funding builds on CMSN’s expanding investment in interdisciplinary and innovative research. Recent awards from CMSN support projects focused on child welfare policy, parent-child relationships, biological mechanisms of adversity, and educational outcomes for youth with foster care experiences.
