Regina Lozinski was recently named the Research Project Manager for SSRI's Population Research Institute (PRI). In this role, she will primarily manage the workflow and oversee the P2C NICHD infrastructure grant cores as well as administer the PRI seed grant program, aiming to support interdisciplinary and innovative research likely to have scientific impact. Additionally, she will provide financial support for PRI, assist in hiring, and aid senior leadership with long-term strategic planning, new initiatives, and reporting.

“I am excited to be a part of such a dynamic group of researchers,” Lozinski shared. “My goals are to provide cohesiveness to the institute and also shine a light on the strong impact we have in the field of population dynamics, both within Penn State and nationally.”

An alumna of Penn State with a Master of Science in Psychology, Lozinski comes to PRI with a wealth of research experience at the University, spanning over 16 years. She has managed projects with varied research methods across multiple departments including Biobehavioral Health, Psychology, and Nursing.

Lozinski has been local to State College for 25 years. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading suspense novels, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family and two beagles.

Lozinski succeeds Nicole Sharkey, who was named the Director of Grants and Contracts for SSRI last year.
